The Surprise Birthday.

It is now almost 2 years since Chise was bought by Elias and she was very grateful to him. Her life had radically changed after all that. This time she wanted to mark the occasion by doing something special but didn't yet know what she could prepare. In the last few weeks her schedule was not too busy and she was spending a lot of time at home. One afternoon after seeing her friend Stella, Chise finally found that wonderful idea she had been looking for for a while.

Chise]-Stella did give me a birthday date? It's something important. So why not do the same with Elias? He's never had the chance to do it and I'm sure he'll be happy!

she says with eyes full of excitement.

[Chise]-Now... all that's left is to find a date, hmm...

after a few seconds of reflection she clapped her hand.

[Chise]-But yes! The day we met is perfect and it's coming next week. I'll have to hurry!

she exclaimed with a mischievous smile.

During the rest of the afternoon the redhead took all the measures to be able to start preparing this event. She first informed Ruth and Silky, who nodded to show they were in agreement, then Chise continued with the list of people to invite and preparations to buy. While she was deep in thought she heard her bedroom door open and Elias came in with a slightly surprised look on his face.

[Elias]- Well Chise, since you came back you are locked in your room, is everything okay? If you need help, I can....

She closed her book of ideas at full speed and turned to him with a slight blush.

[Chise]-No no, don't worry, everything is fine. It was... it was just that I was immersed in reading a book and didn't see the time go by.

she laughed nervously. Chise wasn't very good at lying and Elias had understood that she wasn't telling him everything but pretended he understood.

[Elias]-Well, then you can tell me what you thought about it?

[Chise]-Yes, of course, I would love to, but I haven't finished it yet.

Still with his hands behind his back, Elias nodded his head and turned around to leave his room. In the evening, after the meal finished and while everyone was now in their respective rooms, Chise wanted to "forgive" herself for staying alone all that late afternoon and not to make Elias doubt. She went to her room and knocked gently on the door.

Elias, can I... can I come in?

Elias, who was already in bed, answered him:

[Elias]-Hummmm, if you want, but is something wrong?

Chise entered and delicately closed the door behind her.

[Chise]-Don't worry, I just wanted to spend some time with you before going to sleep because I felt a little guilty about being alone for so long earlier.

As she sat down next to her beloved, she asked him:

How about a little massage to relax you?

In reality she didn't really know how to do it, she had said the first thing that popped into her head, but it couldn't have been that complicated.

[Elias]-Massages? what exactly does it consist of?

Chise had forgotten that some "human" words were less common in Elias' vocabulary and she explained to him what it was all about.

Chise]- Well, massages are kind of movements made with the hands on parts of the body to relieve pain or to do good.

[Elias]-But I don't have pain though.

Chise laughed a little.

[Chise]-That's okay, take it as a moment to relax and have a good time.

[Elias]-If you say so, it's okay.

As he was lying down, Chise moved the comforter back a little so that it was exposed all the way to his hips. She didn't really know how to do it but she remembered what she had seen with Alice and tried to reproduce as much as she could the movements to massage him. Being on her side, it was not very practical, so with a little hesitation she straddled Elias' back. He was somewhat surprised but did not question her decision. Chise started gently with her shoulders, the movements of her hands were warm and comforting, no sooner had she started than he already appreciated her gestures.

From time to time he released little "Hmmm" which made Chise understand that she was doing it well. It was one of the first times that she was so close to Elias and was a little embarrassed to be so close to him, but after her proposal she couldn't turn back. As her movements became more precise, she quickly got the hang of it. As she descended to the level of her hips, she perceived a slight tremor from Elias and immediately raised her hands.

Uh, something wrong, did I hurt you?

she says, looking a little panicked. Elias, still lying down, answered her calmly:

[Elias]-Absolutely not, it's just that I'm getting a little tickle in my stomach and it's very pleasant, you can go on, please.

A little surprised by this statement, Chise felt her cheeks turn red but Elias couldn't see it. She continued for another 10 minutes before she heard a light breath that seemed stronger and more regular. She then whispered:

The big teddy bear had fallen asleep!

With a small smile on her lips, Chise got up as gently as possible and embroidered it with the blanket. Before leaving she tenderly gave him a little kiss on the skull and then turned off the light to go to her room. She whispered:

Chise, once in bed, thought back to that little moment between them.

she said to herself before closing her eyes to fall asleep in her turn.

The next day, she was going to have her work cut out for her. After a good breakfast, she went to work. She had to negotiate a little with Elias to join Alice in town but everything went as planned. She told him about her project and her friend confirmed that she had made the right choice. Chise, a little embarrassed, asked Alice shyly:

Chise]-I...I know that this is my project but for all the preparations necessary for the installation, it's almost impossible for me to take care of it alone without Elias knowing about it. For one afternoon I would love it if you could finalize it while I keep him busy doing something else with me. Normally it should be up to me to...

[Alice]-Don't worry! After all, you really don't ask us for much, so if we can help you, it would be our pleasure!

Chise thanked her very much and asked for one last service:

she exclaimed with a big smile on her lips. After saying goodbye to Alice, Ruth and her mistress set off. One hour had already passed and Chise had not yet the slightest idea of what to buy for her, she landed on a bench that was a little further away. Suddenly a wonderful idea came to her mind! She then got up and started to walk while singing.

For this day, she had only one person left to contact and that was Angelica. After her journey was over, she also told her about the project and she was delighted with Chise's initiative.

Angelica]-You're getting big, I'm sure that this big heavyweight will be happy for once.

she said with a small laugh.

[Chise]-Euh Angelica, I have a small favor to ask you.

[Angelica]-Yes? I'm listening to you.

[Chise]-Well, here it is... (whispers)...

[Angelica]-Why not? I think it's a very good idea, I'll prepare it for you right away.

The end of the day was approaching and Chise was on her way home, she only had Simon left and luckily he had to come by the next day to take his usual remedy. The evening went normally and at bedtime Elias regretted a bit that Chise didn't come like the day before but she couldn't come and do her daily routine either. As planned, the next day Simon spent the morning to get his remedy and as he was about to pass through the gate to leave, Chise called him. At the end of his statement, he was surprised to be invited especially for this kind of event but accepted the girl's request. Lindel had also been informed and had let him know thanks to a small mechanical bird that had landed on her window. Chise had also warned Aeriel, because the presence of a fairy was not too much and then she had helped her before. There were now only 2 days left before the happy event. During the rest of the day Chise took care of the garden with Elias and Silky, took Ruth for a little walk and studied new spells. We were now the day before this "surprise birthday" and Alice confirmed to her that everything was ready for the installation. Chise used half of her free time to work on her present and she was very proud of it.

The day arrived and she was excited but had to try not to show it off too much. In order to keep Elias busy so that Alice and her friends could take care of the preparations, Chise decided to take Elias for a walk in a "corner that she had found very pretty". It was an opportunity to do an activity alone with his wife so he accepted without reluctance. When it was time to go out Silky winked at Chise to make her understand that she was starting to prepare the cake. Elias and his beloved spent half of the day in the little remote place she had mentioned before. Indeed, it was a very pretty landscape full of trees with a small lake in the middle. The birds were singing and the warmth of the wind was pleasant, both of them spent a very good time contemplating the sky, cuddling or even chatting. Around 5pm, while they were in the middle of a conversation, Chise heard a little laugh:

[It was Aeriel's laugh that was the signal that everything was ready].

Trying not to shout for joy, Chise stood up calmly and made Elias understand that it was time to go home and he had no idea what was going on. Once they arrived in front of their house, all the lights were off, which was not normal for that hour because the sun was starting to set. Chise timidly proposed to go inside so as not to arouse suspicion and see what was going on. As they both stepped through the doorway, the door slammed shut and they were now plunged into the darkness of the house. Elias bent his arm backward to ask:

[Elias]-Chise, is everything okay?

She was no longer there but before he could do anything, a small blue and green flash created by Aeriel and Hugo blinded Elias for a few seconds. When he regained a normal vision of things, the light was on, with Chise with a smile on her face and all her friends in front of him. They cried out in their hearts, throwing a few confetti:

[ HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELIAS! ]

All around there were balloons and other festive decorations hung on the wall or ceiling. Elias, astonished at the moment, not knowing how to react, just let his jaw hang down in extreme amazement. Chise then approached him holding his gloved hand.

Chise]-We have been living together for 2 years now Elias, and this day is very important! I decided that it could be your birthday somehow. It's something that is celebrated once a year and is quite unique, so I thought it would be a good fit and....

She didn't have time to finish her sentence and Elias took her in his arms to thank her.

[Chise]-Now, you just have to enjoy the party.

Chise]-I may not have gathered all your friends but I did my best to be accompanied.

Everybody was there, and for the first time Elias realized that even if on one hand it was to please Chise, all the people here at least appreciated his presence and the fact of being with him. There were Alice, Renfred, Angelica, Simon, the 2 little mischievous fairies (Aeriel and Hugo), Silky, Ruth and of course Chise. And that's when the party started. An hour had just passed and Silky signalled to Chise to come with her into the kitchen, she showed her the beautiful cake she had prepared which meant that it was time for the guests to come and eat. Chise then went into the living room and called everyone to help her with Aeriel to let them know it was time to come and eat the cake.

-The cake?

Elias asked.

[Chise]-Yes, it's kind of a birthday tradition, come on, I'll show you.

He got up and joined everyone in the kitchen. They were already sitting and waiting for him. On the beautifully decorated table, Silky placed the cake in front of Elias' position and with a little breath, Ruth lit the candle in the center of the cake. And there began the traditional birthday song that we all know so well:

-Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday Elias, happy birthday.

Chise, who was standing behind him, covered his eyes with her hands and whispered to him:

[Chise]-Now you must blow out your candle and make a wish, but don't say it out loud or it won't come true hihi.

Elias then blew out his candle and wished that he would never lose Chise and everyone applauded. While Silky was cutting the cake for the guests, Lindel let go of him, laughing:

[Lindel]-Well, since you're with her you're making progress, that's good. I never thought you would be able to do such a thing.

[Elias]-And why not?

[Lindel]-Don't worry, I'm kidding, it's really good.

he says in a kind tone. Once everyone had finished their plates, Alice cried out:

[Alice]-Good! It's time for presents now.

[Elias]-Gifts?

[Chise]-Yes, presents are also part of the birthday tradition.

[Elias]-Well, this day is full of events, luckily it's not every day.

Angelica stood up first and handed him a small box wrapped in gold gift wrap and a small red ribbon. Elias took it and opened it. It was a magical artifact that would allow her to research in advance how to "cure" Chise.

[Angelica]-This one was not easy to find but I think it will be very useful for you.

Elias thanked her.

It was the turn of Renfred and Alice, being magicians and not sorcerers, they had decided to offer him something more decorative than useful in himself. In front of him stood a very small package. Elias then opened it and saw some seeds inside a bag.

[Rendfred]-It's for your garden, you like plants, don't you? I think you'll like them, we'll let you discover their appearance later.

Simon then stood up with Silky and gave him a "complementary" gift. Simon had the small plates and Silky had the porcelain cups for him to have tea.

Simon]-I know it's not much, but it's not easy to figure out what you like, so...

[Elias]-Thank you very much, I appreciate it.

he says, also caressing Silky's head to thank her. Now all that was missing were Lindel and Chise.

He didn't come back to the kitchen with a package but with what seemed to be a letter. He reached out his arm and Elias opened it.

[Elias]-What is it?

he asked curiously.

It's a recipe for reindeer soup, my dear.

he exclaimed with a small laugh.

[Lindel]-Next time you'd better make it better, wouldn't you?

Chise chuckled because she also knew the story and Elias, who had taken the gift well, answered:

[Elias]-I'll do my best, don't worry.

As he took the time to thank everyone, Alice asked with a smirk on her face:

[Alice]-And you Chise, what's your present?

A little nervous, she answered:

[Chise]-Yes, I'll... I'll get it right away, don't worry.

She ran to her room and went down the stairs this time more calmly because she had to be careful not to damage anything.

After taking a deep breath, she entered the room and placed her beautiful gift on the table in front of Elias. It was a small crystal statue representing their "family" with Elias, Ruth, Silky and herself. She declared with a slight blush:

Do you remember the first time you made me meet Anglica? She had shown me this crystal artifact where you could model whatever you wanted by thinking, so I thought... I hope you like it anyway.

Elias, still contemplating the statue, didn't say a word.

[Chise]-E..Elias?

[Elias]-It's beautiful, thank you very much Chise.

he said, looking at it with a look full of happiness and joy.

[Chise]-I'm relieved that you like it.

And so the party went on for a good hour or so. After greeting the last guests, she was still a bit nervous because she hadn't shown him everything yet (she still had a present in reserve). Once the house was tidied up, Elias went up to his room and Chise joined him.

[Chise]-A..so Elias did you like it?

she asked a little embarrassed

[Chise]-I know that I caught you a little bit unexpectedly but I wanted it to be a surprise and...

Elias cut it off:

[Elias]-Thank you very much Chise, I didn't think I meant so much to you, right now I feel weird like I'm sad but very happy at the same time, it's the first time I feel that way.

[Chise]-Well, it seems that you are "moved", that is to say very happy of an event but that it makes you a little sad to think about it, well it's a little complicated...

She couldn't finish her sentence correctly, that Elias had already thrown himself on her to give her a hug. Her cheeks turned red instantly and took him in her arms in turn.

[Chise]-As a matter of fact, I still have a present for you that I will only show you tonight, I was a little embarrassed to show it in front of everyone, so you'll find out later.

He always held his beloved in his arms before releasing her to acquiesce to his statement. The evening ended happily and Elias installed the crystal statue in the living room. It was splendid. Everyone had gone to bed and he wondered what gift she had planned for him. A few minutes later Chise entered her room again slowly but this time she was holding like 2 small bottles in her hand. She sat down next to Elias and explained to him:

[Chise]-The last time you seemed to enjoy it very much so I thought it would be a good idea to buy a small oil specially made for it, so it could be more pleasant for you I guess.

Elias, with his pupils wide open, was already looking forward to the next session and that's when Chise started. He started to smell the little smelly liquid that his wife was spreading on his back and it was even more pleasant than the first time.

[Elias]-You know, I wish this moment would never end.

he says in a very calm voice.

[Chise]-Ah..ah yes? Well I'm glad you're enjoying it again.

she says to him with a big smile.

And so Elias had just spent one of his most beautiful days in a long time and he was happy that Chise was the source of this happiness.
